The BALTREL Committee Meeting was held in Warsaw, Poland on 16 October 2008 evening. The meeting was hosted by PGE S.A.
Mr. Pawel Urbanski, Vice President of PGE S.A. and Chairman of BALTREL chaired the meeting, which was a special one because of the 10th anniversary of BALTREL Cooperation falling on this year.
The Committee elected Mr. Raine Pajo, Member of Management Board of Eesti Energia AS as the new Chairman of BALTREL for the next term 2008-2009.
The BALTREL Committee approved also Secretariat Activity report and TF Seminar Preparation report presented by Mr. Zygmunt Mozer, Secretary General.
The Committee agreed the date of the next meeting of and the seminar for 8 & 9 of October 2009.
The gala dinner on the occasion of 10th anniversary of BALTREL Cooperation completed the Committee meeting.
The Baltrel Committee meeting was supplemented on the next day 17 October 2008 by the seminar titled “BALTREL: the Baltic Electricity Ring – approaching the target”.
The seminar gave a broad overview of current issues connected with the development of the electricity market around the Baltic Sea, presented both by representatives of BALTREL Members and invited speakers from EC, ETSO, NordReg and Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
